The book has over 1000 stitch patterns; the first batch is in color and the corresponding diagrams are at the back of the book. So pattern #143 is on page 338 which is page 149 of download # 2. The black and white stitch patterns have the diagrams next to them. I'm sure they did it this way because color printing was more expensive than black and white. If you can find a hard copy of the book, it's really nice to have. The same book was printed with a couple of different covers and names.

That's great! I have the KH 400 which is very similar to the KX 390.

One great thing about the KL116 is that they are plentiful and inexpensive. They also allow you to draw your sweater full size, so it's easy to trace an existing sweater or pattern without having to do a lot of conversions.

Yes, but not the one shown in the video. You need one that is specifically made for the 881. Brother KA 8210 will work.

They're usually fine but check and see if the levers snap into place and if the underside looks really worn. If the sponge bar is flat which it most likely will be, don't try to run the carriage over the bed. Change the sponge bar first.

Hi, this tool won't work with your machine. I will be making these for the Brother KX 350 but if you have a punchcard or electronic machine, it's easy to do the pattern on those.

There are videos on RUclips which tell you how to use your machine and manuals on line are free. They are called operation manuals , knitmaster , empisal, silvereed are all the same machine .

Yes, that's how we learn. There is a learning curve to the LK 150 but it will seem easy after a while. Just keep doing projects or test swatches. Don't be frustrated if the first few don't come out perfect.

I was gifted 2 knitting machines recently and I've been watching every video I can find since they didn't come with the manuals. Thank you for explaining the settings on the carriage. No one mentions what the levers do! If you have any videos on the subject, I would love a link. I have the LK150 and a SK280. I haven't even used the SK yet.

@@AnnaHaferman turns out im using dk so im kinda just guessing, its my first project sso mostly doing it for fun... did 127 cast on because my gauge is different for using dk and did about 30 rows initially for about 3.5'' for the folded brim... resting for a little but then will continue and adjust as i go... if it works out ill post what i did in your group <3...

You would have to do a swatch and measure the person's feet. The short rows for the heels and toes are just the number of stitches divided into thirds. The tricky part is the number of stitches for the soles because the bottom of the heel and toe makes up some of the length of the sole.

Well, you could make a punch card for the design but it would have to be a 12 stitch repeat. To do it manually this way, the carriage settings would be different. I don't have an SK 155 so I wouldn't be able to tell you how to do it without looking at the machine but it is possible.

Ok, remember that you can pause the video. Make sure to set your row counter to zero. Your carriage should be in hold on the right and slip on the left. With zero in the lower right hand corner facing you, line up the edge of Buffalo with your first needle and mark the where the arrows are for this first row. Select, knit 2 rows. Your row counter should now read 2 so find the 2 on the selector and select making sure the arrows line up with where you marked the arrows. Knit 2 rows, etc.

I'm not sure what you mean by triangle shape but you can do sock heels with it. It can't knit a tube (circular) but you can make a tube by seaming together a flat piece of knitting. Look at some of my other videos for examples of stuff that you can make with this machine.
